- Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Roshan Parasram gave a clinical update on the status of Covid-19 in T&T. He said that at present, there are 7 persons hospitalized at the Caura Hospital Facility.
- With regards to the Parallel Health Care system, there are currently 551 in quarantine facilities. Dr. Parasram gave a breakdown of these facilities, which are as follows:
- Caura Hospital – 24 persons
- Couva Hospital – 142 persons
- UWI Debe/Penal Campus – 42 persons
- Chancellor Facility -19 persons
- Tacarigua Facility – 40 persons
- NAPA Facility – 6 Health Care Workers
- Sangre Grande Facility – 32 persons
- Balandra Facility – 42 persons
- UWI Freedom Hall – 45 persons
- Kapok Hotel – 48 persons
- Cascadia Hotel – 2 persons
- Developer Rig – 94 persons
- Vision on a Mission, Claxton Bay – 15 persons (with the removal of 3 to the Caura facility)
- The CMO also addressed Facilities that have been selected for Community Testing, they are as follows:
- St George West Distrct – St James Health Centre
- St George Central District – El Soccoro Health Center
- St George East District – St Joseph Enhanced Health Center
- Caroni District – Chaguanas Accident and Emergency
- Nariva/Mayaro – Mayaro District Health Facility
- St Patrick District – Siparia Health Center
- St Andrews/St David District – Sangre Grande Enhanced Health Center
- Victoria District – Pleansantville Facility
- Dr Parasram stated that the following Clinical criteria will make a person eligible if presenting for testing:
Fever, Cough, Runny Nose, Headaches, Redness of the Eyes, Loss of Taste or Smell
He also indicated that swabbing will not be considered for asymptomatic persons.
